Rubbish of the Day
A tower to look up to...
Rubbish of the day:
Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (Lewis Carroll, 1832-1898) was fascinated by the number 142,857. For example, when 142,857 is multiplied by x1 up to x6, its six digits stay the same, but their order changes each time: e.g. 142,857 x 2 = 285,714; 142,857 x 5 = 714,285. Also, when the first, second and third numbers are added to the fourth, fifth and sixth numbers respectively, the number produced is always 999 (e.g. 1+8 = 9, 4+5 = 9, 2+7 = 9). When 142,857 is multiplied by 7, the number you get is 999,999.
Last week, someone sent me a picture that instantly reminded me of the person whom I used to report to at work...
Thanks for the picture -_-"'
